2012 CalSHRM "We All Serve" Initiative

CalSHRM’s "We All Serve!" is an impactful program designed to initiate, connect and deploy people and information on how to effectively integrate our returning military veterans back into the workforce and civilian life.

“We all Serve!” begins with a series of five short and succinct informational presentations on key issues pertaining to our return to work program and was designed as an outreach for our local California SHRM chapters to use at their meetings, workshops and conferences.

The materials were designed as training and resource tools for employers, with the goal that attendees can take this information back to their employer to facilitate a conversation on how they can get involved and make a difference.

As the project scope expands, CalSHRM will reach out to a broader market including SHRM At Large members, the business community and numerous agencies providing resources to our returning military and employers throughout California.

Our Presentations include the following subject matter;

• Resolving Myths about TBI and PTSD
• Important Resources for Employers and Veterans
• Educational Benefits for Veterans
• Why Hire a Veteran?
• Tax Credits for Employers Who Hire Veterans

CalSHRM is proud to have become a “Go to Resource” for California businesses interested in supporting our returning veterans. Our approach to creating a centralized location for information is an unparalleled resource for the state of California. The report below contains important information about our Veterans.
